Recruitment

Our chapter's recruitment process begins in the first few weeks of the university's semester. We offer two preliminary information sessions where you have the opportunity to meet current brothers and learn about our chapter and the National Fraternity. Following the info session are up to two weeks of recruitment events with events such as speed dating, Adopt-a-Highway, and Cookie Cake-Off. 

 

Our recruitment process ends with an invitation to interview in front of the brotherhood. If invited, you'll have the chance to introduce yourself to the whole brotherhood and answer questions about yourself, so we get to know you as an individual. That evening, potential new members (PNMS) may receive a bid to become initiates of Phi Sigma Pi - Beta Delta.

Potential new members will officially become initiates at our pinning ceremony, where they will receive an initiate pin. The following weekend, new initiates will attend a retreat where they will have the chance to bond with brothers and their fellow initiates. As the semester progresses, initiates will complete events that correspond to our tripod: scholarship, leadership, and fellowship.

 

At the end of the semester, a final reflection will be held in front of the brotherhood, similar to the style of initial interviews. Following final interviews, initiates will be inducted as brothers into the fraternity, and continue their journey with the Beta Delta brotherhood.
